The Houston Wellness Program hosted TIGERS IN TRAINING, an after-school fitness program, for 3rd-5th graders in January and February. The class was taught by Mr. Rory Davis, Ms. Melissa Carpenter, and Mrs. Jode Huffman. It focused on balance, stability, spatial awareness, nutrition and athletic training movement. Forty-six students participated in the training, and the 19 kids pictured attended 75 percent or more of the classes and received a new water bottle as a prize. Elementary families - Join us as we read "The Mouse and The Motorcycle" 🐁🏍️ as part of the 2023 Read Across America 📕 Each student will receive a free copy of the book. We encourage you to follow the calendar 🗓️ to read each night with your student. As part of the month, the entire elementary will hear from guest readers from our school and community at 8:15 a.m. each morning.
