𝙃𝙃𝙎 𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙡𝙚𝙭𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙖 𝘽𝙚𝙣𝙤𝙞𝙨𝙩 has been selected by the Board of Education as the district's nominee for the annual 𝙅𝙤𝙝𝙣 𝙏. 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥.
A $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a student in 17 regions across the state. Applicants are judged on academic performance, extracurricular activities and essay. A statewide winner is selected from this group of regional winners and awarded an additional $1,500.

𝙈𝙧𝙨. 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙯, a HS/MS special education instructor, was awarded the 2024 𝙈𝙘𝘿𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙙'𝙨 𝙊𝙪𝙩𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙀𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙙 this morning. To celebrate her hard work, she received a $100 Visa gift card along with an official McDonald's Outstanding Educator certificate from Houston McDonald's GM Stephanie Fuwell and Hilburn-Vaini McDonald's Supervisor Jen Depler.
Mrs. Scholz was nominated for her dedication to her students and community. She genuinely cares about her students and their educational journeys, consistently encouraging them to strive for their best selves. Through her leadership and unwavering support, she empowers her students to grow both academically and personally. Wednesday at the elementary is 𝙊𝘿𝘿 𝙎𝙊𝘾𝙆𝙎 𝘿𝘼𝙔 🧦 Students and staff are encouraged to wear odd socks as part of World Kindness Day to show that we are all unique and different.
The purpose of the day is to help everyone understand that kindness is what binds us all together. With kindness, we have the ability to bridge the gap between others and overcome specific divides.
