They are learning to identify different types of grasses and other plants commonly found in grass pastures and habitats across the state. Each student was assigned different types of grass to collect on their own and bring to class to create study materials for their classmates.

Coach Nikki Stilley is holding a 𝙃𝙊𝙐𝙎𝙏𝙊𝙉 𝙎𝙋𝙀𝘾𝙄𝘼𝙇 𝙊𝙇𝙔𝙈𝙋𝙄𝘾𝙎 🐯 meeting for all interested parents and athletes this Thursday in the elementary gym. Per the Special Olympics website, athletes should be at least eight years old and also be identified by an agency or professional as having one of the following: Intellectual disability; or flosely related development disability, which means having functional limitations in both general learning and in adaptive skills such as recreation, work, independent living, self-direction, or self-care.
