INSIDE OUR CLASSROOMS 🐯 Mrs. Olivia Poynter’s sixth grade science classes participated in a small experiment that demonstrated heat transfer from the Earth's core. The hot plate represented Earth and the beaker with water represented the Earth. The "chemical," which is just food dye in this case, was a great way to show students how heat is transferred, slowly, from the core upwards. 🟥 #HoustonFutureReady 🟥

INSIDE OUR CLASSROOMS 🐯 Students in Mrs. Olivia Poynter’s middle school math classes spent the first few days learning hot to treat one another and work together with the game “100s.” Each group had to find the numbers in consecutive order starting at 1 while alternating turns.
