Friday was Signing Day ✍🏻 for HHS senior Austin Goetz. Joined by friends, family and HHS Welding teacher Mr. Adam Vandiver, Austin signed with Murphy Tractor & Equipment Co., Inc., where he will begin working May 22 until he enrolls in the fall at Southeast Community College in Nebraska to begin his education to become a heavy equipment mechanic. INTO THE RECORD BOOKS‼️ HHS senior Olivia Crites broke a decade-old mark Thursday at the Zizzer Classic when she ran the 300-meter hurdles in 51.36. She eclipsed the record set by Kayla Herndon in 2013. #TheTigerWay


We are excited to announced Houston R-1 Bands has received a 2023 Casey’s Cash for Classrooms grant! Mr. Sam Van Dielen, Band Director, said these funds in the amount of $16,000 will be used toward purchasing new tubas and french horns, and is part of a five-year plan to update, repair, and expand our inventory of instruments. Mrs. Crystal Ford and our Community Betterment Y.O.U.T.H. recently shopped for and packed these "fresh start bags" for Fostering By Faith. The bags contain age-related items, such as deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, notebook, pencils, that foster children may need when relocating. #OurTeamOurTown
