Behind a complete game from senior Wyatt Hughes, the HHS Baseball team topped Thayer 1-0 on Wednesday in the championship game of Class 3 District 10.
The title was the sixth in program history and first since 2019. The Tigers also won district championships in 2007, 1992, 1980 and 1975. Coach Brent Hall was a player on the 1992 team and led the 2007 team, as head coach, to a runner-up state finish.
Houston will host the District 9 winner, either Licking or Belle, on Tuesday.
