To find and apply for scholarships, sign up for Going Merry -- it’s free! Going Merry has thousands of national, regional, and local scholarships. There are also opportunities for every grade level, from freshmen to seniors.

Here is a link for Houston Students.  The local scholarships that are listed on Going Merry will have the Tiger logo.  There will be other scholarships listed on that link.

COMMUNITY FOUNDATIONS OF THE OZARKS SCHOLARSHIPS

Community Foundations of the Ozarks offers several scholarships for Houston students.  You will need to create an account through CFO to access these applications. It opened January 1.

Dr. Darrell "Jack" Holley/MUSIC Scholarship 

The link above will take you to the application.  The deadline to have the application turned into Jennifer Shelton (School Counselor's Office) is February 1, 2025.  A committee will select the local winner to be submitted.

The American Legion Scholarship Program

Here is a link to 9 scholarships offered by American Legion.  Please click on each one to see if you qualify and the specific deadlines.  

Show-Me to College Scholarship

The Missouri Scholarship & Loan Foundation’s Show-Me to College (formerly called Access EXTRA) Scholarship is a private scholarship for students with a Student Aid Index of 12,000 or less, a GPA of 3.50 or higher at a Missouri high school, and a proven record of community service, extracurricular particulation, and/or work experience.

The scholarship is $2,000 per year and renewable for a total of four years. If you do not apply for this scholarship this year, you cannot receive it going forward.

The application is available on myscholarshipcentral.org/apply - then click on Apply Now, create an account or sign in if you already have an account, and then search for “Show-Me”. While on My Scholarship Central, you can also look for other scholarships you may be eligible for offered by Missouri-based nonprofit organizations and foundations.
